How many people are you booking for?

Have you ever wanted to make your own jewellery, but didn't know where to start? Maybe you have an old broken necklace that you've always wanted to fix, or just want to make something new that will go with a particular outfit?  In this class, you'll learn the skills needed to get to grips with the basic tools, opening and closing jump rings, turning loops in head pins, and adding clasps and ear wires to make your own necklaces, bracelets and earrings. You'll use silver-plated findings and a choose from hundreds of beads and charms, including semi-precious stones, glass, pearls and metal, to make and take home at least 3 pieces of your own unique handmade jewellery.

Suitable for complete beginners, you'll be guided through every step by Wendy, owner of The Little Craftery, and life-long crafter.

The workshop runs for approximately 2½ hours.  Enjoy a chat with like minded people and learn some new skills!  All materials and refreshments are included in the price.

FAQs

Who is the class for?

Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome!  Suitable for beginners or those with more experience, it's a nice relaxed and friendly class.

What's involved?

Wendy will take you through the tools and materials you will need and the techniques you will learn.  You’ll be given full demonstrations on each technique and have the chance to put those skills to practice, and produce 6 candles of your own.  Wendy will show you every step of the way to creating candles to die for!

What's included?

The price is £25, and includes everything you need: all materials and use of any necessary tools, full instruction from Wendy, and tea and biscuits.  You will get to take home the jewellery you've made.

What are the design options?

When you arrive at your workshop, you will be given a huge variety of beads to choose from (some of which are unique, you might find a real treasure!).  The choice of beads and techniques is so varied, it's virtually impossible for any two pieces of jewellery to be the same.  Wendy will show you various jewellery making techniques to use, and will help you to design your own unique jewellery to be proud of!

How long will the class last?

The class will last approximately 2½ hours.  It’s best to allow a little extra time as classes sometimes over-run depending on group sizes.

Where is the class held?

Classes are held in The Little Craftery in Field Row, Worthing, which is designed to be a functional, comfortable workspace for up to 6 participants.  The shop will be closed to the public during your class, so you don’t need to worry about interruptions.  If you have any special access requirements, please contact Wendy at The Little Craftery before you book to discuss, and to find out if access is available for you.

Do we need to book?

Yes, please do book in advance, as there are a limited number of places on each class (a maximum of 6 people per workshop), and we wouldn’t want you to be disappointed!  We require full payment in advance in order to secure your booking.  Online payments will be taken securely by either Square or Paypal (don’t worry, you don’t have to have a Paypal account!).  If you’d rather not book online, you can book in person at The Little Craftery.

Do I need to bring anything?

All your materials and refreshments are supplied.

Jewellery making is fine work, so if you use reading glasses or similar it may be useful to bring those with you.  Magnifying glasses are available, if required.

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?

If you are unable to attend your class, please let us know as soon as possible.  Cancellations more than 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund.  Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance or failure to show up for your class will not be eligible for a refund.

We may occasionally need to cancel a class.  If this is the case, we will attempt to contact you in advance as soon as possible to either reschedule your date to another class or offer a full refund, as you prefer.
