Praise for the Macrame Wall Art class at The Little Craftery:

"Thoroughly enjoyed the class, Wendy made it seem easier than I thought it would be. I just need to practice the knots before I forget how to do them :)" - Wendy

" I was a first timer at macrame as it was a Christmas present so not sure what to expect. However I was warmly welcomed and felt relaxed straightaway. Just the 4 of us on course as one cancelled which meant extra help and advice. Overall an excellent afternoon out and would fully recommend a craft course at Little Craftery. The jewellery course looks very interesting." - Jenny

" A great course & Wendy is a really good tutor. " - Lin

Macrame - Wall Hanging

£32 - 2½ hours

Make a decorative wall hanging around a frame with macrame knots and recycled materials!

Choose from a variety of wire shapes to macrame onto, using a choice of colours of recycled macrame cord.  Even the choice of knots to use to finish your piece, and where you choose to put them, means you'll have a completely unique macrame wall hanging to be proud of.

Suitable for beginners, you'll learn the basics of macrame in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with plenty of tea and coffee!  You'll be guided through every step by Wendy, owner of The Little Craftery, and life-long crafter.

The workshop runs for approximately 2½ hours.  All materials and refreshments are included in the price.

Who is the class for?

This workshop is open to anyone over the age of 16, and is aimed at beginners who would like to try their hand at macrame or improve their basic skills.

What's involved?

The skills you will learn in this class are the basic macrame skills you will need for any macrame project.  Wendy will take you through the tools and materials you will need and the basic techniques you will learn, and show you every step of the way to creating your decoration.

What's included?

The price includes everything you need: all materials and use of any necessary tools, full instruction from Wendy, and tea and coffee.  You will get to take home the decoration you've made.

What are the design options?

You'll have a choice of wire frame shapes to work on, plus a choice of colours of recycled cord.  You can stick to one colour, or you can even combine more than one colour in the same piece, the choice is yours.  You'll be shown a few different knots and how to use them in different ways.  Wendy will show you all the techniques you need to be able to create your own designs at home, so the possibilites are quite varied!

Please note that the felted flower in the image is not included with the class.  Those can be made on the Wet Felting - Flowers class and added to your wall hanging later!

How long will the class last?

The class will last approximately 2½ hours.  It’s best to allow a little extra time as classes sometimes over-run depending on group sizes.

Where is the class held?

Classes are held in The Little Craftery in Field Row, Worthing, which is designed to be a functional, comfortable workspace for up to 5 participants.  The shop will be closed to the public during your class, so you don’t need to worry about interruptions.  If you have any special access requirements, please contact Wendy at The Little Craftery before you book to discuss, and to find out if access is available for you.

Do we need to book?

Yes, please do book in advance, as there are a limited number of places on each class (a maximum of 4 people per workshop), and we wouldn’t want you to be disappointed!  We require full payment in advance in order to secure your booking.  Online payments will be taken securely by either Square or Paypal (don’t worry, you don’t have to have a Paypal account!).  If you’d rather not book online, you can book in person at The Little Craftery.

Do I need to bring anything?

All your materials and refreshments are supplied.

It is quite fine work, so if you use reading glasses or similar it may be useful to bring those with you.

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?

If you are unable to attend your class, please let us know as soon as possible.  Cancellations made up to 7 whole days before the class will receive a full refund.  Cancellations made within 7 days, or failure to show up for your class will not be eligible for a refund.

In any circumstance where a class is cancelled by The Little Craftery, we will attempt to contact you in advance as soon as possible to either reschedule or offer a full refund, as you prefer.
