Covid-19 update
Classes - We're currently only taking private bookings for up to 3 people per class (at no extra cost). To book, go to the class page, select the number of people in your group and choose a date and time from our online calendar. Hopefully soon we will get back to setting specific class dates for mixed groups again. :)
In usual, non-pandemic times, there is a surcharge for private classes with only one or two participants, which we have waived for the current times. When we get back to our usual booking format, the price shown will be per person to join a group class, and the price for private classes will increase to it's usual level (1.5x for one person or 1.25x for two people).

You'll also learn how to formulate your own blends, how to handle the materials safely and how to test your soap at all the relevant stages.
Suitable for complete beginners, you will be guided through every step by Wendy, owner of The Little Craftery, and life-long crafter.

FAQs
Who is the class for?
Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome! Suitable for complete beginners or those with more experience, it's a nice relaxed and friendly class.
What's involved?
Wendy will take you through the tools and materials you will need and the basic techniques you will learn. You’ll choose the recipe you would like to complete and Wendy will show you every step of the way to creating your fabulous handmade soap. You'll also learn how to formulate your own recipes at home!
You will take your soap home in the mould, which can be demoulded, cut and cured at home (you'll be given a full demonstration). please note that curing time is approximately 4 weeks before the soap should be used.
What's included?
The price includes everything you need: all materials and use of any necessary tools, full instruction from Wendy, and tea (or coffee).
You'll also be given a handy information booklet with all the details and recipes you learnt during the class, to help you to safely make more soap at home.
You will keep the soap you've made, which can be sliced into at least 6 good-sized bars
What are the design options?
When you arrive at your class, you will be given the choice of 6 recipes, which have been cosmetically tested and approved for general sale.
Due to the legistlation behind the sale of cosmetic products, you will not be allowed to vary the recipe during the class, but you will learn how to formulate your own recipes at home so you can create your own bespoke blends.
How long will the class last?
The class will last approximately 2 hours. It’s best to allow a little extra time as classes sometimes over-run depending on group sizes.
Where is the class held?
Classes are held in The Little Craftery in Field Row, Worthing, which is designed to be a functional, comfortable workspace for up to 5 participants. The shop will be closed to the public during your class, so you don’t need to worry about interruptions. If you have any special access requirements, please contact Wendy at The Little Craftery before you book to discuss, and to find out if access is available for you.
